Mounjaro

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a prescription-only injectable medication approved by the MHRA for weight management in eligible adults with obesity or overweight and related health risks. It acts on two key hormone pathways involved in appetite regulation and blood sugar control.

This treatment is intended for UK adults with a raised BMI who have struggled to lose weight through diet and exercise alone. It is particularly suitable where excess weight is contributing to conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol or type 2 diabetes.

Mounjaro works by mimicking the hormones GIP and GLP 1, which help control hunger, fullness and how the body handles glucose.
